Yes, you found me. I am assistant director for public programs at the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian, Washington, DC. I have been here three years. After leaving Jal, I taught one year in Catoosa, OK and then joined the Peace Corps. I was in the first group to go to Ethiopia. There I taught English and had a music club. I also taught 6 years in Los Angeles County, CA and then earned a Ph.D. and taught 20 years at UCLA and Cornell in ethnomusicology and Americ an Indian studies. All in all, I did 30 years of teaching.
I live in Arlington, Virginia and I am still involved with music to some degree---producing records, giving lectures, etc., but mostly I am an administrator. I do some writing too. I edited Native American Dance, an anthology of articles and pictures. It has sold 17,000 copies, but the Smithsonian gets the royalties, not me. I will be in Tulsa Dec. 22-29 at 918-491-4753.
You may post my e-mail to others if you wish. It was nice hearing from you.
