to
a national study released in April. The ranking comes as no surprise
for
a state that perennially comes in at the bottom of most state rankings.
In recent years, New Mexico has ranked number one in crime, poverty and
dependence on federal dollars, 50th in quality of education, 47th in
livability,
44th in lowest teachers’ salaries and 46th in health coverage.
